CUUNL THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PoRT coquitLam MAY 3 1976 BY-LAW NO. 1438 A By-law to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Building and Plumbing Code Administration By~law, 1974, No. 1298", The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: i. Section 1 of the "City of Port Coquitlam Building and Plumbing Code Administration By-law, 1974, No. 1298" is amended by striking out the definitions of "authority having jurisdiction” and "Building Code" contained therein and substituting the following therefor: ““Authority having jurisdiction" means the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam and; for the purposes of this By-law, the Building Inspector duly appointed by the- said Municipal Council shall have authority to issue all permits and to administer the said Building Code within the territorial limits of The Corporation. "Building Inspector" as used herein shall include “Plumbing Inspector" and every employee of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam acting under the supervision and authority of the Building Inspecter. . “Building Code" means the Building Code established by the Province and as adopted by, amended, added to, or varied by regulations made under Section 719A of the "Municipal Act" as enacted by Chapter 47, S.B.C. 1975." 2. Sub-section (d) of Section 4 of the By-law is repealed and the following is substituted: "(d) " May order the cessation of any work that is proceeding in contravention of the Building Code or of this By-law by post- ing a "Stop Work Order" in the form annexed as Schedule "BR" to this By-law on the real property on which such work is undertaken." 3. Section 6 of the By~law is amended by adding, after Sub-section (2), the following as Sub-section (3): "(3) Every owner of real property on which a "Stop Work Order" has been posted or with respect to which any permit issued pur= suant to this By~law has been revoked as in this By-law provided,
