TERRACE, BRITISH COLUMBIA revel opics by DAVE BORN In recent articles you may have noticed that I have mentioned the fact that seeing your travel agent could assist you in your trip. Let us examine for a minute, the rea- sons why you should seek hig help. First of all, he represents not just one airline or ship company, but all transportation companies, including rail and bus, ‘Therefore, when you consult him, you have all the schedules available to you, not just of one company. As you can readily see, this is a much more suitable arrangement than having to adapt yourself to one particular line. Then too, if ‘you are the do-it-yourself type, it could save you a lot of time and disap- pointment. Instead of contacting the individual carriers, the agent can do it for you and a lot faster than you probably could. Secondly, he not only represents transportation companies but hotels, U-drives, tour companies and all related services are at your disposal through your travel agent. Most travel agents are well tra- yelled, espedially if they have been in the business for any length of time. Most can recom- mend some services from personal experience. The services that are not personally known to him can still be screened by him as he knows all the reputable firms. Thirdly, his services are free, How do we exist? On a commis- sion basis! The companies pay us for what we sell, In this manner, there is no vari- ance in the rate eharged to the public. All agents are interested in giv- ing the customer the best avail- able deal. It is to his advantage that each and every client receive the best service for the least money. An agent will also assist his clients in obtaining passports, visas, rave] vouchers which are required for some East European countries, not only Canadian pass- ports, but also renewal of most European ones. He also has in- formation on the latest health re- quirements for the individual countries that any particular client wants to visit. He also has information .on customs regula- tions for foreign countries. I contend that the travel agent is the travelers best friend. Why not consult us the next time you plan a trip? JOST One of the most fascinating things about Bible study to me is Bible prophecy. The Bible speaks about the “Last Days,” “The End Time,” “The Coming Again of Christ to earth for His own.” I Timothy 3:1-5. First of all I would like to point out three things Daniel pre- dicted while he was exiled in Babylon during the captivity, Dan- iel under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit predicted three things about the end of time. Daniel 12: 4,10. We shall see, Increased knowledge, 2. Increased speed, 3 Increased wickedness. We live in a day and age when there is a great search for knowledge. Many are running to and fro, wicked- ness is on the increase, Freud in his book “Life Against Death.” said, “We are living in a civiliza- tion of neurotics.” Amidst our in- creased knowledge and increased speed, we have increased: prob- Jems, and increased wickedness. Some time ago Dr, Robert M. Hutchins (former chancellor of the United States University) made this statement, “I cannot see any future to our own known world after nine years.’ H. G, Wells has said, “The world is-at the end of iis rope, the end of everything we eal] life is close at hand.” Our leaders, renowned scholars are perplexed, For the unconvert- ed and uncommitted, the future is dark; but for the born again P.O. Box 628, TERRACE, B.C. Sermon EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH Prophecy - road Christ's Coming Agata Christian the future is as bright as the promises of God. One of the greatest thrills awaits the Christian wha is alive when Jesus comes for His own. Jesus is coming again for His church, the body of Christ, The second coming of Christ is a doctrine taught in the early church and. is still preached and taught by all Bible loving and Bible preaching churehes. Look up references such as I Thes. 4:13-18; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; John 14:1-3. Let me give you some things about Christ’s Coming again. 1. He will come in like manner as He went away. Acts 1:9-11. 2, Flesh and blood will not enter heaven 1 Cor, 15:50. We will be changed I John 3:1-3. Our bodies will be changed, Philippians 3:20, 21. 3. Christ’s coming will be the greatest mystery to the world I Corinthians 15:51-52, The world will be amazed, perplexed, aston- ished to see many people of all walks of life missing, The Christian businessman will not show up for work in the morning. Christian doctors and nurses will not be on duty after the time of Christ's coming. Jesus said Matthew 24:42, 44, “Watch therefore for ye know not what hour your Lord will come.” “Therefore be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh.” Will you be ready when Jesus comes?
