City Hall Energy Efficiency.

RESOLUTION:

That the offer of Can-Pac Energy Consultants to install an energy
management system in the Port Coquitlam City Hall as outlined in their
presentation dated August 23rd, 1990 for the price of $9,968.75 plus any
rebate received from B.C. Hydro and Power Authority be accepted;

And That the cost be taken from the Future Capital Reserve.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The actual entire cost of the system installation is $15,950.00 and it
has been calculated that there will be a rebate from B.C. Hydro to the City of
$5,981.25 thus resulting in the net cost set forth above. The savings to the
City have been calculated at $5,115.24 per year increasing as the cost of
electricity and gas increases. Thus the "pay-back” period is less than two
years.

The firm providing the offer is the same firm that did similar work
for the City's recreation facilities several years ago.

Copies of the complete proposal were provided to Council members
earlier. -
