Dear Mayor Traboulay:

Contrary to the best interest of Western Canadians, the Federal Government has
again placed in jeopardy, VIA Rails Super Continental passenger rail service,

I have recently written to the Minister of Transportation expressing my concerns
regarding this matter. Additionally, the City of Edmonton's position on VIA's
Super Continental service was presented to the Edmonton Caucus of federal
members of Parliament.

Given the seriousness of this issue, I am requesting your support in initiating a
massive letter writing campaign. I ask that letters be written by your municipal
councillors, chambers of commerce and their members, development authorities,
tourism councils, ete., tos
