Government continues to subsidize the Home's operation to- take care of the many extended care patients. placed in the Home, that the staff at the Lodge has now been certified under the B.C. Government Employee's Union which has added to their operating deficit in terms of increased salaries. and that if a Provincial takeover is not resolved the Society may have to approach the Council with regard to a tax exemption for 1975; however, the Society would keep the Council informed and will advise further in that regard. Hydro officials at which time they outlined tion of B.C Hydra power} certain changes in the power line locations in the Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam area lines in City as Weil as discussed the power line locations of certain new lines in the area, and that a request has now been received from 3.C. Hydro to grant permission to clear and construct a power line over certain City-owned lands, which agreement would be follawed by a proper Right-of-Way Agreement at a later date when con- struction has been completed and the legal survey plans prepared. The City Adm- inistrator,submitted with his report a copy of a plan showing the iand affected, and photographs illustrating the type of power lines to be installed were made available to the Council for perusal.
