RBQURST FOR MARKED CROSSWALK AT CENTRAL SCHOOL -
CENTRAL AVE. AND DONALD ST.

RECOMMENDATION:

1) That Council approve the installation of a marked crosswalk on Central Ave.

2) That Council approve the installation of two RG-6 signs on the existing
"School Zone" signs on Central Ave.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

A request from the principal of Central Elementary Sc!.col for a marked crosswalk on Central
Ave. at Donald as described in the attached memorandum from the Project Technician dated

October 30, 1992.

Following review and discussion it was recommended that both options 1 and 2 be, approved

Therefore it is recommended that a marked crosswalk and speed signs be installed on Central at

an estimated cost of $700.00.
