City Engineer SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONTRACT - CONSULTING ENGINE FOR WATER MODEL CALIBRATION - CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR SANITARY SEWER MODEL CALIBRATION AND LIFT STATION REVIEW (Public Works Committee Meeting - October 29, 1991) That Dayton & Knight Ltd. be awarded the consulting engineering work for the water model calibration at an estimated fee of $18,713 (including G.S.T. and contingencies). That Stanley & Associates Engineering Ltd. be awarded the consulting engineering work for the sanitary sewer model calibration and lift station review at an estimated fee of $39,825 (including G.S.T. and contingencies). That $14,035 be allocated from the Water Utility Capital Fund for the water model calibrations contract. That $39,825 be allocated from the Sewer Utility Capital Fund for the sewer model calibration and lift station review. The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Deputy City Engineer dated October 29, 1991 regarding the water model calibration plus the sanitary sewer model calibration and lift station review. The City of Port Coquitlam received five proposals for the water model calibration work. Based on the technical background of the firms and the proposal costs, it is recommended that this work be awarded to Dayton & Knight Ltd., the third lowest bidder, at the tendered price of $16,272 (including G.S.T.). Total project costs, including contingencies would be $18,713. This work is eligible for a provincial grant of $4,678.
