A Bylaw for the levying ‘of rates for Muni ? :
Hospital, and Regional! District Purposes for the MAY 9 1983

year 1983,

The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam in open.
meeting assembled, enacts as fol lows: .

The following rates are hereby imposed and levied for the year 1983:

(a) For all lawful genera! purposes of the municipality on the assessed value of
land and improvements taxable for genera! municipal purposes, rates.
appearing in column "an of the Schedule attached hereto and forming a part

For. debt Purposes on the assessed value of tand and improvements taxable for
general municipal Purposes, rates appearing In column ‘ip oF the Schedule
attached hereto and forming a part hereof,

(c).. For hospital purposes on the assessed value of land and improvements taxable
for regional hospital distriet Purposes, $3.084 per $1000 taxable value.

(d) For purposes of Greater Vancouver Regional District on the assessed value of
land and improvements taxable for regional hospital district purposes,
$0.746 per $1000 taxable value, .

The minimum amount of taxation upon’a parce! of real property shal |
ASTLOO)S -

(a) At the-close of business on the 8th day of July, 1983 the Collector. of -The-
Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam shal! add to the unpald taxes of
the-current year, in respect of each parcel of ‘land and -the improvements
thereon upon the real property tax roll, five percentum (52) of the amount

then remaining unpaid.

At the close of business on the 2nd day of September, 1983 the Collector of:
The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam shall add to the unpaid taxes
of ‘the current year (exclusive of the five percentum addition authorized. by.
Subsection (a) of this section), in respect of each parce! of land and the
improvements thereon upon the real Property tax roll, a further .five
Percentum (5%) of the amount then remaining unpaid,

The said unpaid taxes, together with the amounts added under this section,
“~ are’ deemed to be taxes of the current year due on such fand and improvements

thereon,. and the amounts added under this section when collected shall form

part of: the genera! revenue of The Corporation of the City of Port

Coquitiam. ~

This bylaw may be cited as the "Tax Rates Bylaw, 1983, No. 1978",
