THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM ITEM IL Re: 3.C. Hydro Bus Stops on Shaughnessy Street For the information of Council, the Public Works Committee has met with B.C. Hydro to discuss the problems of the buses waiting on Shaughnessy Street and also of the buses stopping adjacent to the Rec Centre. The current Situation was approved by Council for a six-month trial ‘period which will be up in February. B.C. Hydro has indicated that if any route changes are to be made they have to be made at the same time as other major schedule changes take place which would again be in February. The Public Works Committee ; will be meeting again with B.c. Hydro to discuss their proposals for the elimination of the above mentioned problems. This will be done in sufficient time so that schedule changes can be made in February if necessary. ITEM IIT Re: Right-—Turn Lane on Lougheed at Shaughnessy For the information of Council, the Ministry of Nighways have been notified that the properties required to be provided by the City for the above right-turn lane are now available. The Ministry of Highways will be undertaking this work with their own forces rather than using the contractor Who did the major highway work. Highways have not completed their own - land acquisition requirements from the shopping centre and therefore are not in a position to start the work. They do, ; however, intend to start the work as scon as possible. t Respectfully submitted, ; F.E. Peters, P, iEng., FEP/vw City Engineer.
