Planning and Zoning Committee “Meeting Minutes February 16th, 1972.

Item 1) (continued).

Comments: Attached is a memo from the City Clerk which outlines a request
for a Puslic Hearing en the question on Home Occupations.

Recommencation: The Cormittee recommends to Council that a Public Hearing

be advertised in the flewsletter. and that the meeting be
tentatively set for Tuesday, April 4th, 1972 at 7:30 p.m. tn the Mabbett
Room at the Port Coquitlam Recreation Center. ‘

Re: District of Coquitlam Rezoning.

Comments: Attached is a letter from the District requesting support in
their attempt to rezone the area north of Lincoln from RS-2

to A-2. I have had discussions with Don en this request and this rezoning

would be very desirable in our attempt to keep the area a green belt.

It was discussed and the Comittee was advised the rezoning attempt
coincides with our immediate and long range plans and that the land jis
located in the Flood Plain. ;

Recommendation: The Committee recommends to Council that a letter be sent

to the District of Coquitlam advising them of our approval of
the attenpt to rezone the area, and that in the letter we thank .them for

their co-operation in notifying the City of their intentions.
