268, (1) The council of a municipality may by bylaw provide for the making of a grant to another
nunicipality which, in the opinion of the council, provides services of benefit to the inhabitants of its municipality.

(2) ‘The bylaw is not valid until approved by the minister, who, before giving approval, may direct
that the bylaw be submitted to and receive the assent of the electors.

(3) The bylaw may authorize the grant to be continued annually fora period not exceeding 5 years.
