Two commercial calls, one to the Metro Motors when possible ‘electrical surge burned off the service wires to the main building anda call to the Palomino Club when water was leaking down from an apartment above. (It was reported as a leaking sprinkler.) Alarms ringing, consisted of both schools and industrial buildings. Some of the school alarms were caused by malfunctions caused by faulty heat risers and three false alarms when persons unknown pulled the alarms. The alarms in the industrial areas were caused by low water pressure and power failures. : ‘50 Inhalator calls, 25 home emergencies consisting of epileptic seizures, heart attacks, strokes, falls causing injuries, drunkeness, home quarrcis and one incident of a boat falling on a man. Attended 7 motor vehicle accidents, two people fell from bicycles, one person fell from a pickup truck, pedestrian fell on street, girl at school cut from a broken window, two separate incidents at the Rec Centre and 5 overdoses. ‘ Summary for 1978 and Same Period in 1977 ; 1978 1977 Fire calls and related incidents 270 damages $261,375 damages $627,010 rs ane soa ne ‘ ‘ . .
