From the City Engineer, September 7, 1989 regarding the establishment
of playground speed limits.

Moved by Alderman Laking:
seconded by Alderman Stewart:

1. That playground zones with a 30 km/h speed limit be established on
the following streets:

On Citadel Drive from the west end of the existing park to the
west property line of Lot 11, Plan 72031.

On Castle Crescent from Rampart Place to Citadel Drive.

That the City Clerk take the necessary steps to amend the City's
Traffic Bylaw if Recommendation 1 is approved.

From the City Engineer, September 8, 1989 regarding a request for a
Block Party at Poel Place.

Moved by Alderman Laking:
Seconded by Alderman Stewart:

1. That the request to hold a block party in the Poel Place
cul-de~sac on Saturday, September 16, 1989 be approved;

2. That Council adopt a policy henceforth to delegate the authority
to approve block party requests to the Public Works Committee.
