The tax or rate in the preceding section is made up as followa:
THE SUM of 1,400 mills on the Dollar for the purpose of raising the
6ums required for the payment of interest and principal of debts incurred by .

The Corporation of the City. of Port Coquitlam for which other Provision has

mot been made. .

(b) THE SUM of .840 mills on the Dollar for providing sums for the lawful

expenditures of the Greater Vancouver Regional Hospital District for the year

1972.
(c) THE SUM of 44.240 mills on the Dollar for providing sums for all
lawful general purposes of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam for’

the year 1972 which sums are not included in either of the preceding subsections .

of this Section,

3. The aforesaid ‘rates and taxes shall be deemed to have been imposed
and due to The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam on and from the first
-day of January, 1972 and are now payable to the Collector of the said
Corporation at his office at the City Hall, Port Coquitlam.

4. The sun of ‘one Dollar shall be the minimum amount of taxation in the

year 1972 upon any parcel of land upon the assessment roll of the City of Port

Coquitlam for the year 1972,

‘5. Upon the Eighth day of July, 1972, the Collector of the said

-_ Corporation shall add to the current year! 8 taxes remaining unpaid ; as on thac

date, on each parcel of land or improvements on the Collector's Roll of The
Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam five percentum (5%) of the amount
remaining unpaid on that date; and or the Second day of September, 1972, he
shall add a further sum of five percentun (5Z) of the _amount then remaining
unpatd, and the said unpaid taxes together with the amounts added as aforesaid
shall from the respective dates aforesaid be deemed to be the amount of the
current year's taxes due upon such land or improvements. All anounts added as
aforesaid to the taxes under this section shall, when collected, form part of

the general revenue of the municipality, . oe

6. This By-law may be cited for all purposes as “City of Port Coquitlam

Rates By-law, 1972, No. 1177", . .
