GENERAL COMMENTS ON LOCAL CRIMINAL AND DRUG CONDITIONS: During the month of November, there was one armed robhery conmitted at Jerry’s Market in Coquitlam, and another atteapted robbery when a young man accosted a woman outside the Coquitlam Sports Centre and demanded she drop her purse. During the month two separate groups of juveniles and adults were arrested in connection with approximately 43 house burglaries. The drug situation remaing relatively unchanged. During the month we were successful in charg- ing five people with offences under the Narcotic Control Act and one under the Food & Drug Act. There were two overdoses during the month, one ve believe to be attributed to heroin, the other ordinary aspirins. ; There seems to be an abundance of all soft drugs, priaarily HDA, hashish and marihuana, and in addition to the araas. being con- centrated on, others appear to be the Port Coquitlam Shopping Centre and the area around the Wild buck Inn, Insofar aa the Wiid Suck Inn is concerned, some concentrated action waa taken in thie regard ovez the weekend of the 1 DEC 72 and this will be covered in the ensuing report for that month.
