A Message from the Mayor

On behalf of Vancouver City Council, we would like to congratulate Le Centre Culturel
Francophone de Vancouver on 2014 Festival d’été celebration.

Since its inception, Festival d’été has become a popular event for our francophone
citizens as well as Vancouverites in general. We are fortunate to live in a thriving
multicultural city. Throughout the year there are many cultural celebrations in the City of
Vancouver but few match the acclaim of the Festival d'été and helps us do it in both of
Canada’s official languages. Le Centre has established itself as the cornerstone of
artistic, community and educational programming for the francophone sector of our
community.

I’d like to offer my congratulations to everyone who makes this festival possible and I
hope you have a great festival!

Nous tenons 4 féliciter chaleureusement le Centre
culturel francophone de Vancouver, dont le
festival a franchi une étape importante et qui nous
promet une autre fantastique année de musique

ancophone! Célébrer 25 ans d’existence_est un
grand accomplissement. La longévité du Festival

été témoigne de sa réelle croissance, de son
ambition, de ses réalisations et de son mérite
artistique.

Le BC Arts Council est fier de subventionner, grace a la contribution
de la province de la Colombie-Britannique, d’importants
événements culturels comme celui-ci. Le Festival d’été est une
occasion extraordinaire d’honorer la musique francophone du
Canada, ainsi que l’identité nationale que nous partageons. La
capacité du Festival d’attirer des interpretes exceptionnels et des
auditoires diversifiés renforce son caractére de lieu privilégié a
nul autre pareil pour présenter la musique francophone du monde
entier.

Permettez-moi, au nom du BC Arts Council, de remercier les
nombreux membres du personnel du Festival, les coordonnateurs,
les interprétes et les bénévoles qui tous, année aprés année,
concourent au succés que remporte le Festival d’été.
