SUBJECT: PoCo Trail - Kingsway Bridge

Recommendation:

That the PoCo Trail, under the Kingsway Bridge, be relocated closer
to the river and that funds to do the work be taken from the parks

reserve.

Background & Comments:

The Parks & Recreation Committee, requested that. the Works & Services
Committee investigate and correct the problem that presently exists
under the Kingsway Bridge with the PoCo Trail. The Works &

Services Committee indicated that they felt that nothing. could be
done at this time. However the Parks & Recreation Committee have
received many complaints from the users of the PoCo Trail and see
the need for something to be done. The Trail needs to be relocated
before the PoCo Trek which is held in September. There is some
money in the old parks reserve fund. The actual construction should

be done by the Public Works Department.
