Subject: Works Yard / Fire Hall project

Recommendation:

That the contract for construction of the Works Yard/Fire Hall project be let to Swagger
Construction Ltd. at the tendered price of $6,738,000.

Background & Comments:

Our Architect has reviewed the bids and is recommending that the contract be awarded to the Jow
bidder, Swagger Construction Ltd.

The bid for the project is within the budget authorized by Council and funding for the project is
in place in our Tax Sale Reserve and has been allocated via bylaws to this project.

Construction of the project would start early in the new year with compietion expected in the
spring of 1995.
