The City of Port Coquitlam should provide publicly sponsored .
‘leisure services as a method in meeting socially worthwhile |
goals and objectives, the attainment of which clearly results _
in some form of benefit to all residents of the area. 2

Goals of the Parks & Recreation Department —

1. To provide publicly sponsored leisure services to further
growth and development of the community. (ie. through _
first establishing a broadly felt community identity and
then developing a widely held commmity spirit and, |.
finally, progressing to the evolution of a distinct
