Fire Chief's Car cont.

I understand the main concern of Council regarding unmarked
vehicles is whether the vehicle is being used properly in order to fulfill
business and/or emergency situations. My answer is, you must assume so,
unless circumstances prove differently, and then only if the Fire Chief
can not provide a satisfactory .explanation,

- At. present, the vehicle in question has a dashboard emergency
light, concealed.siren and command equipment.

To maintain a.certain.amount of privacy. after working hours, I
will be very hesitant to'use a marked vehicle. Therefore; will not be as
‘readily available to monitor calls, assist in an emergency or in many .cases,
.Make decisions and answer questions using the vehicle's two-way radio.
