THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY’ OF PORT COQUITLAM The Minister of Municipal Affairs, Province of British Columbia. The Petition of the City of Port Coquitlam HUMBLY SHOWETH: 1. That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has by. By-law No. 1771 cited as the "Township 40 Road Closure By-law, 1980, No. 1771" stopped up and closed to traffie a certain portion of Road therein described; 2. That the said By-law No. 1771 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was reconsidered, finally passed and adopted by the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam on the Twenty-fifth day of August, 1980 and a duly certified cepy is attached hereto; 3. That ‘che registered owners of all the adjoining and contiguous Lands have consented to the closure of che said portion of Road deseribed in the said By-law No. 1771 and The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has agreed to accept title to the land comprising the same; 4. That it is no longer necessary to use the portions of road described in the said By-law No. 1771 as part of the road system of the City and it is the desire of the Council of the said ‘City ‘to consolidate the Same with adjacent lands owned by the City and to offer the same for sale in accord with the provisions of the Municipal Act and in accord with a pre-planning scheme to be approved by the City. 5. That by resolution dated the Eighth day of September, 1980 the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam authorized the presentation of a Petition to the Minister of Municipal Affairs praying for the abandonment of the portion of road described in the said By~law No. 1771 so stepped up and closed to traffic; THEREFORE your Petitioner humbly prays for the abandonment of the said portion of Road described in By-law No. 1771 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and the vesting of title to the land comprising same in The _ Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlan, AND your Petitioner as in duty bound will ever pray, ete.
