December 15th, 1975 report on the water pressure on Prairie Avenue East of Burns Road so that the residents in that area could be assured the pressure is sufficient in the event of a fire, and to this members of Council generally agreed. Alderman Keryluk commended the City crews in coping with the recent snow problem, and Alderman Traboulay echoed these sentiments. Mayor Campbell re Inaugural Council meeting Mayor Campbell then announced that the Inaugural Council Meeting will be held on January 4th, 1976 at 2:30 p.m. in the Hyde Creek Centre, and that there would be free swimming, an arts and crafts display, and light refreshments for the public. Mayor Campbell re Mayor Campbell inquired as to the status of the "small lot concept" ‘small lot concept’ and Alderman Thompson advised that the whole Zoning By-law is being changed; however, it will be placed before the Council shortly, and will incorporate therein the ability to prepare a small lot under certain circumstances. Alderman Traboulay stated that this year the Housing Committee was hoping to have a pilot project started on the Fox Street City-owned land, and he commented that although there has been a little difficulty in assembling the property, he would like to see the project continued. Alderman Thompson referred to the pilot housing project involving 11 lots on Chester Street which incorporated various sideyards, setbacks, and smaller lots and he advised that although construction has @ net nearly been completed, the houses sold very quickly as only two of the eleven are left.
