OCT 21 1974 TO: Mayor and Aldérmen DATE: October 11, 1974 FROM: R.A. Freeman, City Clerk ee eS a nei ceteris meet ne ie eli le RE: Traffic Amendment By-law No. 1332 - Truck Routes A photocopy of By-law No. 1332 is attached to this memorandum and the same is available for first three readings. As we believe Council is aware the present truck route provisions in the City's Traffic Regulation By~law have been found by the R.C.M.P. to be un- enforceable and the new regulations have been drafted in close co-operation with the R.C.M.P. and we have also received our Solicitor's opinion on several points. The actual "truck routes" in the City are set forth in Section 604(c) at the bottom of page 2 of the By-law and remain unchanged from the previous provisions. If a change is desired might we suggest that the By-law be processed in its present ferm and that the question of a change in truck route locations be referred to the appropriate Council Committee for possible later amendment to the By-law.
