Stinsca : Item f£ Re: Lincoln Avenue Elerentary A resolution of Council on June 18th, 1973 asked this Committee to study and make a ; report on the School Freeze in the area north of Lougheed Highway. : Comnents: As a result of information received recently from the School Board which would ensure adequate education facilities, the Committee feels the pending subdivisions should be processed. ’ Recommendation: The Committee recommends that the subdivision freeze in the area north of Lougheeed Highway be lifted. ‘ Item II ‘ Re: Duplex Zoning ‘ A letter from the Hastings — Westwwod Ratepayers has been received and is attached. They feel RS~l1 zones should be restricted to single family homes only. Comments: ” The Committee reviewed the decisions that were made late last yeer in regards to this matter. After discussion on all alternative methods which are available. It was generally felt that the procedure established for approving duplexes achieves the most desirable and effective way of locating these uses. The ; . Committee recalled the public discussion and hearings that were held in open Councdii | last year and believe this particular topic has been well aired and further that the regulations pertaining to duplexes in our Zoning By~law should be retained. : Recormendation: The Committee recommends retention of the existing duplex regulations as outlined in our Zoning By~law.
