July 23, 1990/185 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to the Council meeting of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, July 23rd, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Acting Mayor M.C. Farnworth, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, M.R. Weight and W.W. Stewart in attendance. Also in attendance were City Clerk/Deputy Administrator R.A. Freeman, City Engineer I. Zahynacz, City Treasurer J.G. Maitland, Director of Community Planning C.R. Felip and Secretarial Assistant to the City Clerk S. Rauh. ZOHING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Acting Mayor N.C. Farnworth advised that the following proposed Bylaw would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2512 1. To amend Section 101 by inserting the following definition between the definitions of “Lane” and “Lot”: "LIGHT INDUSTRIAL: Light Industrial Use means an industrial use taking place entirely within a building and that produces no noise, smoke, smell, toxic fumes, vibration and/or electrical or electronic interference that may in any way interfere with the residential use of any other land.” To amend Section 1003(2) by renumbering sub-sections (b) to (£) as sub-sections (c) to (g), respectively, and inserting the following es sub-section (b): "(b) Light Industrial”. To permit a "Light Industrial” use in the M-3 (Clean Industrial) Zone and would affect all land in the City zoned M-3 (Clean Industrial). Fren the Director of Community Planning dated July 10/90 regarding Amendmente to M-3 Zone Bylaw 2512 and recommending that the proposed definition of light industrial be amended prior to the third reading as follows: Light industrial use means an industriai use which takes place entirely within a building and produces no noise, no emoke, no smell, no toxic fumes, no vibration and/or electrical or electronic interference that may in any way interfere with the residential use of any other land designated for residential use in the Port Coquitlam Official Community Plan.
