December 22nd, A special meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, 3. C., on December 22nd, 1977, at 4:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng., City Clerk R.A. Freeman, and City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland. Mr. E.W.D. Bonham, Project Manager Engineering Divis*.-n, Water Investigations Branch, Water Resources Service, Ministry of the Environment was present at the meeting. BY-LAWS: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That. By-law No. 1573 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted. Carried. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That By-law No. 1574 be amended by inserting, following the words, “Order in Council No." wherever they appear, the number "3771/77" AND THAT the said By-law No. 1574, as amended, be read a third time. Carried. Prior to passage of the resolution quoted above Mr. E.W.D. Bonham, addressed the Council in connection with the Coquitlam Project of the Fraser River Flood Control Program and advised that very good prices for the work had been received when tenders closed recently and that the City's costs, formerly estimated at $330,000.00 were now expected to be somewhat Less than $250,000.00. Mr. Bonham further explained the nature and extent of the work and in response to an enquiry from Alderman Traboulay the City Engineer advised that a great deal of trucking would be required and that residents of Prairie Avenue, Cedar Drive, Coast By-law #1573- City of Pt. i | | | | | i { Coq.
