Comments: At the present time a church is existing and an application for the southern portion facing Cameron Avenue, of Lot U, is being processed for single family development. The P-2 zone would bring the existing church into con- formity with our Zoning By-law, but further information is required, such as does the structure conform to the Building By-laws etc., as well as a certificate of non-encroachment being required. Recommendation: The Planning & Zoning Committee recommends to the Municipal Council the approval of the rezoning application ;which would bring the already existing church into conformity with the present Zoning By-law and provided all by-laws are met. Item III FOR INFORMATION ONLY Re: Corner Stores. . Comments: It has been requested that this Committee look into the square foot , requirements as indicated in our Zoning By-law, under the C-1 regulations. At the present time we have eight corner stares of which six are con- forming as to our by-laws and two which are not. The existing retail area per- mitted is 1,200 sq. ft. which is based on the assumptien that the C-1 zone would be used strictly dealing with small items only. The criteria for establishing this zone is that the location should be in or around the intersection of collector streets and that the facility shall not be constructed within 1/2 mile of an existing C-1 use, .
