Kitimat workers to receive bonus

This payday, 1,850 employees
on the hourly payroll at the
aa Alumintim Company of Canada,
Lid (Algan), Kitimat Words are

Bonus Fund” into which a
specific amount was credited to
an employee for each hour's,
pay earned from May 6, 1974 lo
September 8, 1974. (The exact
amount credited depended on
the job classifiealion of the
employee). To quallfy to
receive accumulated credits, an
employee simply had to remain
in the employ of the Company
until October 24, 1974, (which
eoineides with the beginning of
the second year of the Collective
Lebour -Agreement with
CASAW).

Has it been effective? ~ Per-
sonnel Manager Jim Clifford
thinks so: ‘Our terminations in

the six month period during .

President Eric Grayston of

formation Centres in many
community pharmacies
throughout the province In-
cluding one in Terrace at
Shoppers Drug Mart, 4635
Lakelse Avenue. Commenting
on the project, Mr, Grayston
said, ‘These centres represent

a pilot project jointly sponsored .
by Federal and Provincial .

governments and the College, in
order to provide a variety of
health information from a
source readily available to the
general public. The Project
represents some of the new
thinking on health care as
contained in Mare Lalonde's
working document, ‘A New
Perspective on the Health of
Canadians’. It is part of the
health promotion strategy
outlined in the document that is

and -assisting individuals to
accept an increased respon-

sibility and involvement in

matters affecting their own
mental and physical health.”
Mr. Grayston staled that the
first task performed by these

Coordinalor, Mr. Ellictt, a
pharmacist himself, stated
that, “he has been assigned the

He went on tosay, “The Project
