RE: POSTAL DELIVERY SERVICE TO NEW
SUB-DIVISIONS, ITEM NO. 02,
MUNICIPAL MANAGER'S REPORT NO. 34,
1987 MAY 19

. Please be advised that the Council of the
Corporation of the District of Burnaby, at the regular Council
Meeting held’ on 1987 May 19, received the attached report
regarding postal delivery service to new sub-divisions and
adopted the recommendations contained therein. I wish to draw
your particular attention. to recommendation number 7 as contained
in the report which reads as follows:

7. "THAT a copy of this report be
forwarded to the Municipal Councils
within the GVRD requesting their en-
dorsation and support of these |
resolutions."

In accordance with Council's decision, therefore, I
would respectfully request your consideration of the resolutions
contained in the report. For your further information, the
resolutions are intended to address the reinstatement of
door-to-door delivery of mail in new subdivisions in urban areas.
