A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on September 28th, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Planning Consultant A. Phillips, Management Consultant and Acting City Administrator G.H. Newhouse and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following B/L #1858 West side of proposed by-laws to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, Gately bet. Kingsway & 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered. Ticehurst RS-1 to CD By-law No. 1858: To rezone the 13,539 m- parcel shown on a proposed Subdivision Plan of a portion of District Lot 379, Group One, New Westminster District; being Lots 19, 20, and 21, Plan 3106; Lot 3, Plan 5344; Parcel "y"! Sketch 3016; and a portion of Lot 101, Plan 58743; dated August 31st, 1981 and prepared by V.C. Goudal and Associates, British Columbia Land Surveyors under Drawing No. C-3330-81; from RS-1 to CD. The Planning Consultant advised this property consists of a 13,539 m= (3.55 acre) site located on the west side of Gately Street between Kingsway Avenue and Ticehurst Avenue (excepting therefrom the property addressed as 2532 Kingsway Avenue located at the southwest corner of Kingsway Avenue and Gately Street) and it is expected that following completion of the rezoning procedures a 111 unit apartment/townhouse - complex will be constructed on the property.
