Re: Speed Bumps

Reference is made to Council's direction that speed control

bumps be installed in the lane west of Shaughnessy Street from Whyte

Avenue to Elgin Avenue. The City Solicitor has advised me of the
requirements that should be fulfilled so that the City will not attract

any liability asa result of the installation of the speed control bumps.
Accordingly, would you please place for Council's consideration a
recommendation that the speed limit in the lane in question be established
at 5 miles per hour.
