Alderman Traboulay- Notice of Motion re ..derman Traboulay gave Notice of a Motion he wished to submit to “ the first regular Council meeting in January, 1975 that sufficient funds jmailing-City jNewsletters be placed in the Provisional Budget to provide for the cost of printing and mailing of at least four City Newsletters during the coming year, and to this His Worship the Mayor agreed. ¥Ald.Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay then requested the City Engineer to look into sbrushing strip bet. fHawthorne Lodge the matter of clearing the brush on the strip of land between Hawthorne j& Hawthorne Manor Lodge and Hawthorne Manor, and he then wished everyone a Merry Christmas as did Alderman Mabbett. |Ald. Thompson re Alderman Thompson then referred to Item No. 10959 of the December Item #10959- Dec.6/74 Fin. 6th, 1974 Finance Committee Report, for the sum of $9,000.00, being the Com.Report, etc. City's share of fire dispatch service payable to the District of Coquitlam, and he requested the City Administrator to find out whether that amount covers the whole year or only a part of 1974. Ald.Thompson-query Alderman Thompson referred to the bottom paragraph of page 2 of the re location of 3.8 ac.site- Recreation Committee meeting report, and inquired where the 3.8 acre future tennis courts parcel of land proposed for future tennis courts, etc., was located and Alderman Laking advised that the property was North of the Hydro station on Wilson Avenue. Ald. Thompson re Alderman Thompson then commented that construction of the apartments progress -construction of Apts.- on Sefton Street does not appear to be progressing, and the City Engineer Sefton Street advised that the developer has had difficulty in obtaining sub-trades for various aspects of the work. The City Administrator advised that the developer has recently brought in plans for Strata Title Subdivision, so obviously the work is still ongoing. Ald.Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay queried whether or not it was intended to continue telephone rentals-— members of paying telephone rentals for members of the City's Fire Department in City's Fire Dept. view of the fact that they have now been supplied with pagers, and the City Administrator advised that this was discussed briefly during contract negotiations; however, that item has been left in for this year, Mayor Campbell expresses appreciation to His Worship the Mayor stated that he had enjoyed the past year on Council for co-opera- Council and thanked all the Aldermen for their assistance and co-operaticn.
