The emphasis of such a study would be maximization of the

‘ational potential of the River in a manner compatible with

existing use. The study would hopefully provide a basis for

co-operative development of the river toward this objective, and

serve as a selling point with other jurisdictions.

The Committee therefore requests authorization

to commission such a study by appropriate consultants. A fee
maximum of $7,000 is suggested ~ to be paid equally by the two

co-operating municipalities,
