Phone 493-0390. EMILY CARR COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN is offering two ceramic courses this surmmier. Steve Heinemann will give a sculpture course, inves- ligating making and thinking in clay as a medium for the imagination, from July 3rd to 21st. This class is at this point almost full. However, the course with Rebecca Rupp from Montreal has a number of spaces sul open. Rebecca will instruct in concepts and techniques of wheel-thrown porcelain table ware, including glazing and firing techniques, from July 24th to August Ith. Call the College at (403) 342-3516. MEMBERSHIP REPORT Our membership presently stands at 270, including 14 groups. Since January, 55 new members have joined, the majority of whom have not been members previously. That should be encouraging to us all, and we look forward to the involvernent of the “new blood” in the Guild, as well as to the continued initiative and support of “old” members. Please remember that we need your contact and input to function as a Guild. In the fall, the present Board of Directors will appoint a committee to find nominees for election to the Board at the January 1990 AGM. Give it some consideration over the summer, and if you're interested in becoming more involved, drop a note, or leave a message on the office phane.
