PRODUCTION DURING LAST TEN YEARS, $429,547,755

Lode mining has only been in progresa about 26 yeara, and only about one-
half of the Provinca has been prospected: 200,000 square miles of unexplored
mineral bearing lands sre open for proapecting.

The mining laws of this Province are more liberal and the fees lower than
any other Province in the Dominion or any Colony in the British Empira.,

Mineral locations are granted to discoverers for nominal fees. Absolute titles

are obtained by developing such propertics, security of which is ruaranteed by
crown granta
. Practically all British Columbia mineral properties’ on whieh development
work has been done are deserived in one of the Annual Reports of the Minister
of Mines. Those considering.mining investments should refer to aych reports.
They are available without charre on application to the Department of Mines,
Victoria, B.C, Reports covering each of the six Mineral Survey Districts are
published separately, and sre available on application. Reports of the Geolori-
cal Survey of Canada, Wineb Building, Vancouver, B.C., are recommended ae |
valuable sources of information.:
