Mabbett Alderman M.A. Thompson V.G. Borch, P.Eng. J. Pleasants. Respectfully submitted, Item I Re: Anglio-Norco Bicycle Race - April 25th, 1976 Once again the City has received a request from Mr. K. Walker to hold a Bicycle Race on Prairie, Coast Meridian, Victoria and Cedar on April 25th, 1976. The Committee recommends that this Bicycle Race be approvea subject to the following: 1. The Anglio-Norco Club place advertisements in the local news media outlining the route, times, etc, 2. The Prairie-Coast Meridian traffic lights be operated on a flashing orange - flashing red basis during the race, 3. Barricades be obtained from our Works Yard to provide a bicycle turning lane at Prairie and Cedar and Prairie and Coast Meridian intersections. 4. The Club provide a sufficient number of Marshals to adequately direct and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic. 5, R.C.M.P. approval be obtained. Item IJ Re: Equipment Tenders Reference is made to the regular Council meeting of February 9th, 1976 at which time the-following resolution was passed: "That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, February 5th, 1976 funds be allocated from the Equipment Reserve Fund ijn the amount of $5,100.00 for the purchase of a Double drum Roller to replace the present Roller used by the Asphalt Patching Crew."
