A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, September 28th, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, Deputy City Engineer J.E. Yip, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, Director of Building Permits and Inspections J. Shardlow, and Deputy Fire Chief G. Routley. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. Jack Jonnson, retiring Member of the Board of Variance. His Worship presented Mr. Jonnson with a Port Coquitlam Book, pen, and pin. PROCLAMATIONS: Whereas the Fire Commissioner of Canada states that many dedicated citizens have joined with the volunteer, professional and industrial fire safety personnel as "Partners in Fire Prevention" in a relentless effort to minimize loss to life and destruction of property; Whereas fire losses in Canada remain unacceptably high in comparison with those in other industrialized nations thereby necessitating improved fire preverition measures; Whereas it is desirable that information on fire causes and recommended preventative measures be disserninated during a specific period of the year; And wheiv 3s the 1992 fire prevention theme for this period is Test Your Detector - It’s Sound Advice, Now therefore I, Leonard M.
