rahe: rite 14 DISCUSSION: According to the Riverwood Area Control Plan and the Official Community Plan, the southern half of 1202 Cedar Drive ig designated for "Parks and Recreation" and the northern half ig designated for "Residential" uses. A school site has been designated on other properties immediately south of the designated park site. School District No. 43 has requested a swap of the designated "School" and "Parks and Recreatioa" aites (see Figure 1 attached). Its plans to purchase the southern half of 1202 Cedar Drive for a future echool, and leave the currently designated "School" site for future park uses. The Planning Department has no objections to the proposed swap of the designated park and school sites as both are public uses. Development will likely not take place on the site for several years.
