and Alderman Thompson inquired whether the Fire Department would work with the
Welfare Department in the distribution of found bicycles, or choose needy fam~
ilies itself. The City Administrator stated he would imagine that the City
would make the same arrangements as the District of Coquitlam, that is, the Fire

Department contacts the Welfare Department with respect to the distribution of

any found bicycles turned over to it by the R.C.M.P.

From the City Clerk, September 6th, 1973, referring to a letter received
from the Department of Municipal Affairs dated August 29th, 1973 inquiring
to the Council's intentions with respect to the "McLeod'' lane closure once
to the property forming the closed road has been vested in tne name of the

and if the closed road is to be conveyed, what compensation will be received by

the City.

That the Land Sale Committee be reque..ac te bring forth a policy with res-
pect to property formed by closed roads that will encompass not only the McLeod"
lane closure referred to in a memorandum from the City Clerk dated September 6th,

1973, but also all future road closures, for consideration by Council next week.

Open Guestion Period which call for its suspension during the months of November
and December, and inquiring whether the Council would want to alter these to pro-
vide for suspension during the months of October and November in view of che fact
that the annual Municipal Election has been brought ahead to the third Saturday
in November.

That in view of the fact that the annual Municipal Election has been brought
ahead to the third Saturday in November, the guidelines be altered to provide for
suspension of the Open Question Period during the months of Octcher and November,
rather than during the months of November and December as presently called for.

Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution, a discussion
ensued, and Alderman Traboulay stated he could not support the motion for inclu-

ding the month of October as many people do attend meetings and have questions

they wish to ask.
