That the City Clerk be instructed to prepare a bylaw authorizing the expenditure of $5.6 million from our Tax Sale Reserves for all aspects of the project. . That Bylaw # 2207, which authorized preliminary funding for planning and designing an expansion to Hyde Creek Centre be rescinded; once the above money bylaw is in place. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: In 1992 Council appointed Vic Davies as the architect for the Hyde Creek expansion. The concept plan for the Hyde Creek expansion was prepared in conjunction with staff, the Hyde Creek Building Committee and input from City Council. City Council has already endorsed the pian in principle. Earlier this year, City Council approved the concept of construction management for this project. On September 9, 1993 Council retained the services of Mierau Construction Ltd. to provide preconstruction design services.
