iV SELECTION OF THE PREFERRED VENDOR Our analysis of the proposals shows that the following vendors could be considered as potentially suitable: ISS Ltd. MAI Canada, Ltd. Tri-Data Services Inc. Because of the omission of stock control and word Processing information in their proposal, we recommend that ISS not be given further consideration at this time. However, should MAI Canada, Ltd. be rejected later, then ISS Ltd. should be considered further at that time. In the company of Mr. Maitland, City Treasurer, we visited the City of North Vancouver, an MAI reference client. The City of North Vancouver's requirements and processing volumes were found to be similar to your own. A high recommendation for MAI was received by Mr. Cornwall of the City of North Vancouver. . MAI are a well known, financially stable company serving all of Canada and the U.S.A. Because of a lack of a direct municipal reference client, generally poor quality proposal, and third-party software development, we recommend that Tri-Data not be given further consideration at this time. Tri-Data is a small local company in business for only a few years. However, should MAI Canada, Ltd. be rejected later, then Tri-Data Services Inc. should De considered further at that time. On the basis of stability, service, support, and provision of the required Systems, MAI was found to be clearly superior. The overall! costs for data and word processing are practically identical for MAI and Tri-Data. We, and your Treasurer, recommend that MAI be selected as the preferred vendor.
