Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: polimes, That as recommended at a recent meeting with the Mayors and representatives. of the nine member Municipalities bordering on the jurisdiction of the Fraser River Harbour Commission, the re-appointments of Mr. John Watson, and Mr. Marvin Johnson for a three year term on the Fraser River Harbour Commission from April 12th, 1980, be approved." Ripley, President of the Auxiliary to the Eagle Ridge *Hospital and Health Care Centre, April 14th, 1980 requesting permission to hold "The First Annual Herald Tri-City Jogathon" on Sunday, June 8th, 1980 commencing at 10:00 a.m. at the Hyde Creek Centre. Ripley, President of the Auxiliary to the Eagle Ridge Hospital and Health Care Centre, April 14th, 1980 permission be given to hold "The First Annual Herald Tri-City Jogathon" on Sunday, June 8th, 1980 commencing at 10:00 a.m. at the Hyde Creek Centre. Carried. Alderman Mabbett referred to the letter received from Mr. B.M. Dudas, P. Eng., Inspector of Mines and Resident Engineer, April 8th, 1980 regarding the Coquitlam River and the problems with gravel mining and stated in his opinion the Coquitlam River has not improved and that he takes objection to some of the comments tn Mr. Dudas' Letter. Alderman Mabbett advised work would be commencing shortly on the Kingsway underpass widening and this would require one-lane traffic for approximately two months, Alderman Mabbett spoke regarding creating a buffer zone at the Huntington River Mill property along Davies Street and the City Administrator advised the developer has been requested to put in a buffer strip.
