Alderman Thompson inquired if it would be possible to have several town-
house projects side by side, and Alderman Ranger advised that that would depend
upon the sizes of the parcels involved, as well as the fact that each applica-—
tion is considered on its own merit. Alderman Laking stated he would like to
have the recommendation referred to the Planning & Zoning Committee again for a
review of the distance apart town-house projects should be.

meeting held on June 24th, 1974, approval in principle of Application R#15~74
to rezone a parcel of and at 2986 Coast Meridian Road from RN-1 (Low-Density
Apartment Residential) to Development Area, was tabled until this time and
Alderman Laking suggested that the Council recess for 15 minutes to discuss

the matter in camera.

That the Council recess at this time for the purpose of discussing
Rezoning Application R#15-74 in Committee. Carried.

All members of Council vacated the Council Chamber at 8:20 p.m. to
attend an in camera meeting in the Office of the Mayor, and at 8:49 p.m. the
meeting reconvened when all members of Council returned to the Council
Chamber and resumed their seats.

That the subject of Rezoning Application R#15-74 be lifted from the

table. Carried.

That as recommended in a report from the Planning & Zoning Committe,

June 12th, 1974, Application R#15-74 to rezone a parcel of land at 2986 Coast

Meridian Road from RM-1 (Low-Density Apartment Residential) to Development
Area, be approved in principle; subject to:
1. Submission of suitable development and landscape plans.
2. Approval of City Engineer on off-site servicing.
Addition of on-site recreational and communal facilities.
Reduction of on-site pavement.
Retention of on-site natural growth wherever considered to be a
necessity. Tabled.
