The happy couple had a son, James Wold, then moved to Giscome, BC, south of Prince George, Karl went to work for a mill. Couple celebrates 60th anniversary KARL AND ROSE Wold on their wedding day in Calgary in 1937 and 60 years later in Oliver, BC, The couple lived in Terrace for 30 years, and raised their fam- ily here. While in Giscome their second child, daughter Aveline was bom. In 1942 the family moved fo Terrace. Karl did a num- ber of carpentry jobs before taking a job doing commer- cial fishing on a halibut boat out of Prince Rupert. Two more children were soon born — son Clarence and daughter Dorothy. Jn the early 1950s Rose decided she wanted to go out to work, and found a job at the post office. At that time Sam Kirkaldy was postmaster. Rose retired from the post office in 1972, Later that year she and Karl moved to Parksville on Vancouver [s- land, where they lived for 14 years until moving to Oliver. The couple is still there, enjoying their retirement years together. The family held an early 60th anniver- sary party for them last Sep- tember. Another, smaller party was held Dec. 12. Karl and Rose still live in their own home and con- tinue to take good care of each other. Congratulations to both and a wish for continued good health. For women of all ages GIRLS’ KICK ASS!
