Roger Dubé of Acadian origin, isa magician ofimages and words, who has livedin Quebec hs |
City for a number of years. After working many years as a teacher and a graphic designer,
he decided in 2003 to dedicate his career to children and he published his first book, ‘Presto
et Balthazar’ which was a great success. Since that day, he has transformed himself as ifby
magic intoa modern-day troubadour, acclaimed by all the children he meets!

The Fete des Enfants also offers fun-filled outdoor activities for young and old alike, free of
charge. Children can try their hands at making raccoon masks, or enjoy an initiation
into different painting techniques. They will also be able to keep a souvenir of this day, by
painting their own personal design on a used skateboard, with the help ofa professional to
show them how! The afternoon will have a festive atmosphere, with the joyful rhythms of
African percussion!

On Monday June 17, Monsieur Balthazar will also give a performance of his show
“Dinosaurs” However, this show is reserved for francophone day care centres, Franc Départs
programmes and French first-language pre-schools.

We would like to thank the Fédération des parents francophones de la
Colombie-Britannique and the Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique
for their collaboration in ensuring the success of the children’ programming for the 24°
Festival dété francophone de Vancouver 2013.
