The TRIUMPH-KAON Project Definition Study identified major benefits for Canadian industry. One of the most important aspects is that the plans for the KAON factory are well advanced. Another is that the industrial capability to build the facility already exists right here in Canada. TRIUMPH~KAON will create over $1 billion in new industrial production over its five-year construction period. Annual industrial production during operations will be in excess of $176 million. Annual private sector sales from KAON- related technologies will be $243 million. Yearly indirect industrial spin-offs from technologies will be $500 million. 17,000 new jobs will be created during construction and another 2,800 will follow during operations. This proves that TRIUMF-KAON is an investment that will pay back big dividends for many years to come. It is a national project, based in the West, which will create economic benefits in ali regions of Canada. I hope your government will lend its support. Yours sincerely, . ‘ nana” — Mayor Len Traboulay
