April 10, 1989/070 A special meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, April 10, 1989, at 7:30 pem. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, and W.W. Stewart in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Engineer T.M. Chong, Parks and Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown, Director of Building Permits and Inspections N. Chernoff and Secretarial Assistant to the City Clerk S. Rauh. BYLAWS 3 Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the “Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1987, No. 2240, Amendment Bylaw, 1988, No. 2382", be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted. Carried. CORRESPONDENCE: From the Mark Rose, MLA, March lst, 1989 regarding B.C. Utilities Commission hearings on the proposed Vancouver Island Natural Cas Pipeline. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: That a letter be sent to the B.C. Utilities Commission stating Cecuncils opposition to the proposed Vancouver Island Natural Gas Pipeline. Carried. REPORTS : From the Administration Committee, April 6th, 1989 regarding Council Staff Expenses. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: That the maximum allowable expenses for Council and Staff when they are away from the City on City business be increased by $20.00 per day. Carried.
