That Council decide, by resolution,
whether or not it wishes to cancel
either the Council meeting of August
22nd or August 29th.

RECOMMENDATION:

Additionatly, it would be advantayeous

for Council.to decide whether or not it
wishes to continue on an alternate week
meeting schedule for the balance of the
year or whether It wishes to meet every
Monday evening, except Statutory Holidays.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The times, dates, and places of Council meetings are, of

course, the Council's exclusive perogrative. However, [it is
extremely useful for the staff and public to know well In
advance when these will be held in order that the various items

can be scheduted in tne most

of business before the Council
productive manner.

appears on the next page.
