Plan 2111, District Lot 288, Group One, New Westminster District, be purchased from Roy sehen Alfred Bishop, 6215 Fraser Street, Vancouver, B.C. at or for the price or sum of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary documents therefor on behalf of the City and affix the Corporate Seal thereto. Carried. From the City Engineer, October 17th, 1977, advising of a request that a property line be changed to accommodate a duplex in the 1900 Block Taylor Street. He stated that by moving the lot line between Lots 182 and 183, duplex development at 1924 Taylor Street would meet all existing City requirements. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That in connection with the City Engineer's memorandum, October 17th, 1977: 1. A duplex development,.at 1924 Taylor Street;. 2. A frontage exemption from the requirements of the Subdivision of Lard By-law for proposed Lot 183; be approved. Carried. Alderman Ranger voted against the resolution. NEW BUSINESS: From Alderman Ranger, October 14th, 1977, being a report on the May Day Committee Meeting, held October 12th, 1977 at 8:15 p.m. The result of the meeting was that the City should have a May Day in 1978 and much along the same lines as we had in 1977, but it was the Committee's responsibility to see that the new things, such as childrens' activities are brought into being.
