_EETY_OF PORT coqurTtAM * BY-LAW NO, 1455 A By-lav to amend the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. ni", the Municipal Councll may, by By~law in pursuance of the authority of Section 125 of the "Mctor Vehicle Act" being Chapter 253, R.5S.B.C., 1960 as amended, provide for the regulation, control, er pro~ hibition of pedestrian and other traffic on walkways and ways within the Municipality and may prohibit the use of or presence on, of any designated anizal or vehicle or species or type thereof, either at all times or at designated tine . AND SHEPEAS the walkway, way, or trail known as the "PoCo Trail" shown carzed on the Plan annexed hereto has been {n common usage by the public asa pedestrian walkway, way, or trail for many yeara and it ia deezed expedient for the protection of the persons using same that the entry thereon and the use and presence thereon of any animal or vehicle of every species or type thereof shall be prohibited at all times. THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlan, in opea meeting assembled, enacts aa follows: I. Division 3 of the “Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117" t¢ azended by renumbering Sections 303 and 304 as 304 and 305, repectively, and inserting the following, after Section 302, a8 Section 303: The use of an presence on, that walkway, way, or trail identified ag the "PoCo Trait" and shown marked on the plan entitled “Port Coquitlam PoCo Trall" attached to and nade part of By-law No. 1455 cited as the “Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. T117, Amendment By-law, 1976, No. 1455 of every horse, elther ridden or driven (except as perattted by clause (b) hereof), and every vehicle of every apecies and type thereof, including motor vehicle, motorcycle, and “trall bicycle" is hereby prohibited at all times. The riding of horses for pleasure is permitted on that part of the PoCo Trafl not located within the bounds of the City's dedicated Nature Area, being Lot 325; Nits, Section 6, SE and SWk Section 7, Township 40, Plan 49145, Sew Westainster Bietrict. 2. Section 801. of the By-law is repealed and the followitg substituted ' therefore: Subject to Sectiona 126 and 326A of the “Moror Vehiels Act” every person whe violates any provisica of this By- law shall be gutity of an offence and upon suemary conviction thereef shatl be fable to 3 fine OF penalty not exceeding Five Nundred Dollars ($500.00) and the provisions of the “Summary Convictions Act" being Chapter 373, &.S.8.C. 1950 as amended, shalt apply thereto.” The plan annexed hereto entitled “Port Coquitlam PoCe Trail” is attached to and made part of this By-law.
